What time does the Baratang day trip start?

The police convoy departs from Jirkatang Check Post at approximately 6:00 AM. We arrange early morning pickup from your hotel at 5:00–5:30 AM. An early start is mandatory.

Is the Baratang trip suitable for children and elderly?

The trip involves some walking on uneven terrain inside the cave. It is suitable for children above 5 years and reasonably fit adults. Wheelchair access is not available inside the caves.

How many days does the Baratang trip take?

Baratang is a full-day trip (approximately 12–14 hours including travel). It is done as a day trip from Port Blair with return the same evening.

Can we spot the Jarawa tribe during the forest convoy?

The Jarawa are a protected isolated tribe. Photography and interaction are strictly prohibited by law. You may catch glimpses of the forest but must follow all convoy rules.

Day 02 :

Baratang Island Day Trip (Limestone Caves + Mud Volcanoes)

Very early morning departure (5:30 AM) — join the police escort convoy through Jarawa Tribal Reserve forest to Baratang Island (approx. 2.5 hrs). On arrival: mangrove creek boat ride (40 mins) to the breathtaking Limestone Caves with natural stalactite and stalagmite formations. Visit the Mud Volcanoes — a rare geological wonder. Optional: Parrot Island at dusk for the spectacular sight of thousands of parakeets returning to roost. Return to Port Blair by evening. Overnight Port Blair.

Day 03 :

Ross Island + North Bay Island | Corbyn's Cove

Boat excursion: Ross Island + North Bay Island water sports (snorkeling, Sea Walk, glass-bottom boat). Afternoon: Corbyn's Cove Beach. Evening leisure. Overnight Port Blair.

Ferry to Havelock Island | Kalapathar Sunrise | Radhanagar Beach

Morning: Elephant Beach snorkeling, water sports. Afternoon: ferry to Neil Island. Evening: Laxmanpur Beach sunset. Overnight Neil Island.

Neil Island Sightseeing | Return Port Blair
