Itinerary
Arrive at Veer Savarkar International Airport, Port Blair. Our representative will receive you with a welcome sign and assist with luggage. Transfer to your hotel in a private air-conditioned cab. After freshening up and having lunch (own expense), proceed to the Cellular Jail National Memorial — visit the seven-winged solitary confinement prison that once held India's greatest freedom fighters including Veer Savarkar, Batukeshwar Dutt, and others. In the evening, attend the Light & Sound Show (approximately 45 minutes) — a deeply moving dramatised narration of India's independence story against the backdrop of the jail. Return to hotel. After breakfast, proceed to Phoenix Bay Jetty or Rajiv Gandhi Water Sports Complex Jetty for a full-day boat excursion. First stop: Ross Island (Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Island) — walk through the eerie, beautiful ruins of the former British administrative headquarters, where jungle roots have dramatically overtaken the old church, bakery, press building, and Chief Commissioner's bungalow. Spot roaming spotted deer and peacocks.
